Ontario Place is a theme park and event venue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located southwest of downtown Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario. It was founded in 1971 and is owned by the Government of Ontario. The attraction had been in operation for over 51 years when the government decided to close several of its older attractions in 2012. The place is current under construction.
